  1. Nvidia 196.75 drivers BAD!!

    Mar 05 2010 - 09:17 AM

was cruising my usual news sites this morning when i ran across this gem
    http://www.engadget....g-graphics-car/

unless you use another program [RivaTuner] to control fan speed you should delete this new Nvidia driver and go back to the last known good driver...

I use EVGA precision [basically cut-down rivatuner] and always have my fan speed at 100%. i have not seen an issue yet but will continue to test.

you can get EVGA precision and Rivatuner here

  4. MP3 Jukebox

    Dec 13 2009 - 11:43 AM

so i have been cruising the arcade controls forum [want a MAME arcade in my home] and stumbled onto their Jukebox section. i just happen to have all the components to make this thing.

    15" ELO LCD touchscreen
old pc Athlon 2200, 512MB ram, 9800SE vid card, SB Live
picked up a 6.1 speaker set from cragslist Logitech X-620
lots of stupid lights and flash controllers from older pc's

just need to build the enclosure and find some jukebox software
will make a build log here to document my adventure
  5. Finally Water Cooling....

    Nov 09 2009 - 06:27 PM

well, i have had an Antec 1200 case since last christmas and a Thermaltake Bigwater 745 kit for about as long. i finally got off my lazy ass and put the system together in the case. took a little drilling to get everything to fit right but i think this is gonna work. just need to fill it up and leak test. will mount motherboard in case later this week. here is the progress so far...
