Moskau Icon : (Yesterday, 11:26 PM) is there a cow level?
Fire Icon : (Yesterday, 12:21 PM) And frost they said something about more multiplayer unit types with each expansion x.x
Fire Icon : (Yesterday, 12:21 PM) Its most likely going to be $39.99 just like wrath.
Fire Icon : (Yesterday, 12:21 PM) numbnuts where the hell did you hear that lol?
Zippy the Sq... Icon : (Yesterday, 08:42 AM) "Holy wow tf2 blog and i just woke up what is happening i am happy and my hair is fluffy from pillows and i need to pee wow" - Notch
WhiteLotus Icon : (Yesterday, 02:32 AM) my buddy gave me a SC2 friend demo code for 7 free hours of gameplay. that should be plenty of time for me to figure out if I want to buy it...
THE QWERT Icon : (Yesterday, 12:41 AM) oh hey, there's a secret mission in SC2 too.
Uber_Hobo Icon : (28 July 2010 - 11:42 PM) Compiling a map takes a while with VIS running.....need moar func_detail..
Kaori1 Icon : (28 July 2010 - 11:32 PM) Diablo 3 will be either very good or very bad. I herd something about Blizzard toning down on the violence/horror/gore level (lower than Diablo 2's) during the development of D3...so that a younger audience can play it. I hope that doesn't ruin the game since one of my favorite aspects of Diablo 2 was how scary some of the levels looked (even though I was like 14 at the time XD)
Scabby_Al Icon : (28 July 2010 - 10:49 PM) I'll have to upgrade and whenever that is, I'll nab that and I will grab Diablo 3
Numbnuts Icon : (28 July 2010 - 10:48 PM) Hey Fire wasnt the new WoW xpack going to cost $70?
Frost Icon : (28 July 2010 - 09:10 PM) so torrent it and ur good
Frost Icon : (28 July 2010 - 09:10 PM) i doubt it will change the multiplayer at all
Frost Icon : (28 July 2010 - 09:10 PM) single player only anyway
Frost Icon : (28 July 2010 - 09:10 PM) why pay for it? torrent the shit out of the damn expansions
Fire Icon : (28 July 2010 - 07:38 PM) I'm guessing that the sc2 xpacks will be $40 as that is what the wow xpacks have been priced at
Kaori1 Icon : (28 July 2010 - 07:27 PM) Come to think of it, Blizzard is going to prob double its money within the next two years with the realease of SC2, SC2's expansions, Cataclysm and Diablo 3. O_o
SexualHarass... Icon : (28 July 2010 - 07:22 PM) You can take our life! But you can never take our FREEEEEEEEEEDOOO......oh wait.
Kaori1 Icon : (28 July 2010 - 07:18 PM) *looks at the cost of all 3 world of warcraft games/expansions (including the one comming out in November).....then looks back at SC2* yeahhhh...don't get your hopes up. Blizzard is out to rob you of both your life and money. Although, if it's JUST 29 more missions per expansion, then I can see the greed-train that is Blizzard, being merciful. In that case, it would be about $25 tops
THE QWERT Icon : (28 July 2010 - 07:10 PM) but I'm probably gonna get any collectors edition things (I like extra stuff :V) which are probably gonna be another 100 each
THE QWERT Icon : (28 July 2010 - 07:10 PM) It would be dissapointing if the expansions are another $60 each
Scabby_Al Icon : (28 July 2010 - 05:07 PM) This is all a moot point since I can't run it
Scabby_Al Icon : (28 July 2010 - 05:07 PM) If SC2 expansions are cheaper then no worries but I would have a problem paying $60 2 more times to play as all 3 races.
WhiteLotus Icon : (28 July 2010 - 04:56 PM) ick...enough with the spam
Jsanges Icon : (28 July 2010 - 04:51 PM) dont need hiis jock i want is spock
Jsanges Icon : (28 July 2010 - 04:50 PM) check out his hard drive it sets me to warp 5 ?????????????
Jsanges Icon : (28 July 2010 - 04:49 PM) this one is fairly funny too if your a tech .. you might laugh http://www.youtube.c...u/2/DoP3C76ioTU
Jsanges Icon : (28 July 2010 - 04:48 PM) for all you jersey peeps out there http://www.youtube.c...h?v=WrfUXuBaJ1E
THE QWERT Icon : (28 July 2010 - 04:21 PM) and the terran campaign itself is 29 missions, i.e. 1 mission short of the whole original game or brood war.
THE QWERT Icon : (28 July 2010 - 04:20 PM) Why do you doubt that Scabby? It is true that they are releasing SC2:WoL (terran) and then 2 expansions for the other races.
Jsanges Icon : (28 July 2010 - 03:28 PM) they made it a litttle purtier
Jsanges Icon : (28 July 2010 - 03:28 PM) sc2 is fun i downloaded it the other night
Scabby_Al Icon : (28 July 2010 - 02:40 PM) Somehow I doubt that and I still refuse to pay $60 for 1/3 of a game.
Zippy the Sq... Icon : (28 July 2010 - 02:14 PM) Starcraft II will be released in 3-4 segments, yes, each one representing one of the races. That said, each campaign is long enough to be its own game. I hope the "sequels" will be cheaper if you already own the first game.
Scabby_Al Icon : (28 July 2010 - 01:28 PM) Activision is the drizzled shits and I'm giong to hate Blizzard just as much. I'm too lazy to research but I hear SC 2 is going only be a Terran campaign?
Fire Icon : (28 July 2010 - 11:45 AM) mw2 is worse
Zippy the Sq... Icon : (28 July 2010 - 03:58 AM) Heheh, whoops.
Kaori1 Icon : (27 July 2010 - 11:38 PM) What about World of Warcraft Fire?
Moskau Icon : (27 July 2010 - 10:38 PM) Modern Warfail 2; the game continues to defend its title
Fire Icon : (27 July 2010 - 10:10 PM) first being MW2 of course

Now that we've made the decision to downgrade our TF2 server starting in March due to inactivity and unnecessary spending, we need to start talking about our communities finances. As you've heard, we haven't had a donation in months, yet we've all reaped the benefits of being a part of the SNiGS community. Hell, we don't even have a "donations and thank you" thread on our new forums...

Now I'll be the first to admit that I've taken advantage of the free ride for the last couple of months. But its not fair to the select SNiGS put the entire server/website bill on their shoulders every month.

This isn't a desperation or a charity thread... Its a reality check. And its time for SNiGS (that have the means to) to consider selflessly donating a few bucks to our communities future. All donations will be anonymous and will go straight to Windraker. For those of you who didn't know, we have a PayPal donate icon on the homepage of our website. And for the SNiGS who don't have PayPal, I'm sure you can figure something out with Windraker.

I've talked to Windy about about how much the server(s)/website will cost starting in March and its approximately $120. So if the SNiGS that can, all pitch in what they can every other month or so, we'd have plenty of money to spread out to the upcoming months and keep our community going strong. So lets all try and do our part

I've been a part of SNiGS for over 2 years now and I love where our community is headed and I desperately want to see SNiGS continue on for years to come. So thanks to the people that took the time to read this and thanks for making our community so fuckin epic!

Sincerely,

Your lovable, resident asshole (Hawkeye)

Now that I have a source of income again, I will be making weekly donations of entirely random amounts.

I even have a random number generator to pick the amount for me.
"The paramedics found the patient in the living room. He had wrapped his hands in copper wire and punched them through the television screen. The television appears to have burst into flames and is the cause of the trauma to his hands. The paramedics report they were unable to find his eyes. I think he may have eaten them."

I think we need to make the donate button a little more noticeable, not just a small button that appears on one page, that I for one, almost never see (as my bookmark is right to the forum page).

I remember the donate button on the old forums at least appeared to the left of the forum home, maybe even on the left of all the pages. If we (and by "we" I mean Camtech + whoever else might work on the site >.>) could make the button like that I'm sure we would get more donations.

A new homepage is coming with a more obvious donate button. And I think many of the donations came from the donations and thanks thread too.

I spared some change from my "Buy A New Electric Boyfriend" fund.

We ALL should make such noble sacrifices.

I don't have a lot of money (Poor College Student Syndrome), but I donated, and I'll continue to do so whenever I'm able to.

I will donate when I can but its tough right now. I may also suggest putting a donation button somewhere on the main forums page or link it off the header some how. I typically just breeze right to the forums like a mad man and my laptop bookmark goes right to it. Since I'm not financially able to, I will try to donate time, knowledge, or god knows anything else I possibly can. Outside of IT, I can put out fires, perform technical rescue, and cut your ass out of a car but I'm not sure how that's going to be helpful here :D

Edit: It HAS been a great 2 years and would love to see it continue forever. My first memorable experience with snigs was the first few times I was playing as a pub and Hawkeye and I had a heavy fist fight to the Benny Hill theme.

I have donated before but that was when I had a job. I will try to make a donation of a couple dollars a month. At this point I don't have a job so they will be smaller, come summer I'll be working again so it will pick up.

I am basically in the same situation as Chicken. I will donate when I have an influx of cash again.
