So they have announced a closed BETA for PS3 now in November, starting the 10th.

And then in December there will be an Open BETA for PC players... Here's the article

I am looking forward to this game. DICE is considering it the unofficial sequel to Battlefield 2. The early gameplay I have seen so far is pretty impressive. It looks like Modern Warfare and Battlefield 2 had a baby.

The original Bad Company was craptastic. The guns were poorly balanced and the "destructible" environments were mostly just a gimmick. From what I understand though, DICE is taking their time with this new one. Like I posted earlier, they consider it the sequel to battlefield 2.

The sound engine on the frostbite is just earfuckingasmic and I doubt they consider it to be the unofficial sequel to BF2 if BF3 has been announced... Today I saw a mad interview, pretty long but I'll post it... LOL'd all the way through...

and BF will never be like COD, COD sucks with its Unreal Tournament meets Counter Strike gameplay.

@Cam: Yeah that interview was pretty awesome. Best BFBC2 video interview I've seen so far, the interviewer is hilarious.

@Diplomat: At least it's not COD's 9vs9 but I bet they'll AT LEAST push it to 32 players which sounds fair to me, we don't wanna blow up servers with the level of destruction the game has and 64 players... From what I've heard and read they have been testing the multiplayer heavily to release an awesome fast-paced experience
